Privacy Policy
This policy explains how TV Remote: Universal TV Remote Control (“TV Remote”) handles information. TV Remote is operated by its app publisher. Questions and privacy requests may be sent to remote@otipu.com.
Information handled on your device
TV Remote uses local-network service names, TV names, local IP addresses, ports, device models and hardware addresses to find, identify, wake and control TVs. Selected names, rooms, favorites, routines, timer deadlines, layout choices and app preferences are stored on your device.
Pairing credentials and keyboard text
Pairing tokens, client keys and pinned TV certificates are stored using iOS Keychain or Android secure storage. Text entered through the app’s Keyboard feature is sent directly to the selected TV over your local network and is not retained by TV Remote after the session.
No publisher collection, advertising or tracking
TV Remote has no account system, advertising SDK, analytics SDK or publisher-operated backend. The publisher does not receive, sell, rent or use your local TV data for tracking or advertising. This website carries no analytics, advertising or third-party trackers either, and sets no cookies.
Local network and third-party devices
Discovery, pairing, wake requests and remote commands travel between your phone and devices on your local network. Your TV, router and TV platform may process that traffic under their own software and privacy terms. TV Remote is not affiliated with those providers.
Retention and deletion
Local settings remain until you remove them, clear app data or uninstall. Remove a TV inside Devices to delete its saved pairing credential. iOS Keychain items may survive uninstall under Apple system behavior, so remove saved TVs before uninstall if you want pairing credentials deleted first.
Children and security
TV Remote is a general utility and is not designed to collect personal information from children or adults. No network method is perfectly secure; keep your phone, TV and home network updated and protected.
Changes
Material changes will appear in an app update or on this page with a new effective date. Continued use after an update means the revised policy applies.
